Entrevista - Quick Quick Danger

Quick Quick Danger é uma banda de Cingapura. É formada por 4 indivíduos - Marc (voz), Fred (guitarra), Kyle (baixo/synths) e Nate (bateria) - que têm um dom para o electro e sons powerpop.
A banda começou no início de 2009. O som traz o melhor do powerpop, com batidas eletrônicas, sintetizadores dos anos 80 e letras com uma vibe positiva.
E o Powerpop Br! traz mais essa entrevista exclusiva pra vocês.

1- Como a banda começou? de quem foi a idéia?
Logo no início Fred e Nate estavam tocando em uma banda de hard rock na faculdade, eles deixaram logo e chamaram o Kyle para o baixo para iniciar um novo projeto. Curiosamente eu encontrei os três 'em um fórum sobre música online (através de um "Procura-se vocalista' post), clicamos direito!

2- Porque a banda tem esse nome?
Muitas vezes o nome da banda pode fazer ou quebrar o sucesso da banda, nós sabíamos que tinha que ser algo simples e que apenas saiu da língua. Além disso, contribui para uma sigla muito ruim (QQD)!

3- Se vocês pudessem escolher qualquer banda sair em turnê, que banda seria?
Cash Cash!

4- Quais são as influências musicais de vocês?
Michael Jackson é a maior, nós levamos um monte de músicas dos anos 80 e 90. Ah, e as coisas no Billboard Hot 100 é um prazer!

5- Qual é o hobby de cada um da banda?
Álcool! Além disso Nate e Kyle são grandes fãs de futebol, Fred gosta de tirar fotos (ele que tira as da banda) e eu sou um grande gamer de PC .

6- Conte alguma curiosidade da banda?
Nós somos uma banda pop Inglês, mas nos comunicamos uns com os outros em mandarim.

7- Para você, qual é o melhor momento: o show, gravação ou composição?
Eu me sinto mais em casa trabalhando em estúdio, o resto dos caras preferem os shows ao vivo.

9- O que vocês sabem sobre o Brasil? Vocês tocariam aqui?
As meninas são quentes como o inferno! A equipe nacional de futebol é lenda, e esperamos que eles façam bem na próxima Copa do Mundo. Nós adoraríamos tocar no Brasil, se surgir uma oportunidade estaríamos aí num piscar de olhos!

ENGLISH VERSION

1- How the band started? Whose idea was it?
Early on Fred and Nate were playing in a hard rock band in college, they left soon enough and roped in Kyle on bass to start a new project. Oddly enough I found the three of 'em on an online music forum (through a 'Looking for vocalist' post), we clicked right off the bat!

2- Because the band has that name?
A lot of times the band name can make or break the success of the band, we knew it had to be simple and something that just rolled off the tongue. Besides, it makes for a pretty bad ass acronym (QQD)!

3- If you could choose any band to go on tour, what band would it be?
Cash Cash!

4- What are you musical influences?
Michael Jackson is a big one, we take in a lot of the 80s and 90s music. Oh and the stuff on the Billboard Hot 100 is a guilty pleasure!

5- What is the hobby of each of the band?
Alcohol! Besides that Nate & Kyle are huge soccer fans, Fred likes to take photos (he takes the band shots) and I'm a big PC gamer.

6- Tell some curiosity in the band?
We're an English pop band but we communicate to each other in Mandarin.

7- For you, what is the best moment: the show, recording or composition?
I feel most at home working it in the studio, the rest of the guys are all about the live shows.

9- What do you know about Brazil? You could play here?
The girls are fine as hell! The national soccer team is legend, we hope they do well for the upcoming World Cup. We'd love to play in Brazil, if an opportunity arises we'd be there in a heartbeat!
